Sculpture
Ancient Indian sculpture often embodied human forms that transmitted the truths of Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. Sculpture was indeed the favoured medium for artistic expression in the Indian Sub-continent dating back to the Indus Valley Civilization. Indian bronzes are particularly appreciated for their rare charm and enticing beauty. They are valued for their elegance and craftsmanship. The oldest set of bronze sculptures from the Indian subcontinent date back to the 3rd millennium B.C.E.
