Reverse Glass Painting
Reverse glass painting is an art form that originated in Europe, where paint is applied to a piece of glass and then viewed by turning the glass over and looking through the glass at the image. This style of painting was brought by Jesuit missionaries to China from where it spread to Japan during the Edo period. Reverse Glass Painting also flourished in India during the 19th Century mostly as a Folk art form. Paintings centered around religious themes and traditions.
