Artist Giacomo Cantelli da Vignola (1643-1695) was an Italian cartographer and engraver of the 17th century. Scarce decorative map of India, Ceylon, the Maldives, by Cantelli da Vignola and published in Rome by Rossi. The map provides one of the most detailed and up to date treatments of the region. Includes an ornate cartouche, featuring an elephant.
